Alexandre Lacazette, born 28 May 1991 in Lyon, is a French professional footballer, who was born into a Guadeloupean family.  Lacazette plays for Ligue 1 club Lyon as a striker and represents the club as Captain. Of all the four boys his parents gave birth to, Lacazette is the youngest. Benoît, one of his brothers, was the coach of the Lyon futsal team, Lyon Footzik Futsal, and competed in the Swiss second level and French fourth division. Following several seasons of rumors associating the forward with the north London club, Arsenal finally closed a club-record deal of €52.6 million to buy Lacazette in the 2017 transfer window. In the Community Shield match at Wembley versus Premier League champion Chelsea, Lacazette marked his Arsenal debut as the Gunners won on penalties.

Alexandre Lacazette’s Football At International Level

Lacazette’s first call-up to the French senior team came on May 23, 2013. The Lyon striker made his debut for his country on June 5 when he replaced Olivier Giroud in the 58th minute of a 0-1 friendly loss to Uruguay.   On March 29, 2015, Lacazette got his first goal for his country. On November 14, 2017, Lacazette scored twice for France in a friendly match against Germany, which ended in a 2-2 draw.
