Casemiro’s Early Life

Casemiro was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on February 23, 1992. He currently plays for Manchester United where he got signed in the summer transfer window of 2022. 

Casemiro’s Parents and Family

Despite Casemiro’s early discovery by the scouts of Sao Paulo FC and his relatively prosperous beginnings in his football career, his private life and the status of his family were not as steady as he may have wanted. In reality, little Carlos’ mother and his father, Servando Casimero, fought, and according to Casemiro, his father left his family at an early age, which made his childhood very difficult.

Casemiro once asserted in a broadcast with Globoesporte that he wouldn’t know his father if he were to appear in public today.

 “When I was five years old, he severely argued with my mother and then left the family for my mother to take care of. Since I don’t hold a grudge against him, I’ve longed to meet him. God had a plan for me, and that was it. Because of this, I’ve always left it exactly how it is”, he said.

Casemiro isn’t the only child of his parents, as the Manchester United midfielder has a younger brother called Lucas and an even younger sister, known as Bianca.

Casemiro discovered his love for football at a young age and quickly began spending his time playing with other kids on the streets of Sao Paulo, following in the footsteps of several other Brazilian heroes. He was quickly identified by the Paulista De Futebol academy, a Sao Paulo academy affiliate, where Nilton Moreira helped Casemiro develop into the formidable midfielder he is today.

After passing the tryouts, he was accepted into the Sao Paulo FC youth team at a young age, and at the age of 11, he was appointed captain of his team. But before Casemiro joined the youth academy of Sao Paulo, things were not all that easy for Casemiro. In 2010, at the age of 18, he made his senior squad debut after excelling in the juniors.

Over a couple of months later, in the 2-2 tie with Cruzeiro, Casemiro scored his first career goal, one of his team’s two goals. It took the Brazilian kid three years to catch the eye of international investors who wanted to strengthen their midfield by taking in a promising young player. At that point, Real Madrid knocked on the door and eventually signed Casemiro after initially loaning him to Sao Paulo in 2013. He left Madrid and Joined Manchester United in 2022,  joining Ten Hag to carry on the glory of the club.
