Manchester United responded quickly with series of shots by Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Mason Mount, all trying to get the equalizer, but were met by the sturdy backline duo of Saliba and Gabriel and safe hands of David Raya.
The first half eventually came to an end with the Red Devils trailing by a goal.
2nd Half
Manchester United resumed the second half strongly with defence- splitting passes and quick distributions by Bruno Fernandes, and several attempts into Arsenal’s box by the Manchester United front trio.
Substitutions were made with Amad Diallo coming in for Dalot, Benjamin Sesko for Mason Mount, with the Red Devils desperately searching for an equalizer, but lacked the finishing cut.
While Havertz replaced Gyokeres, Madueke replaced Martinelli, and Mikel Merino came in for Declan Rice towards the end of the game for the Gunners. There was nothing significant from the Gunners as they tried to maintain possession and maintain their one goal lead.
Arsenal won the match courtesy of a goal from Calafiori after Bayindir’s error, but Manchester United were overall the better team.
